How do I hide work in progress from clients?
In Nugo, the client's review link only shows pages that are locked. Everything else stays inside your workspace, so you can work on the rough version without anyone watching over your shoulder.
Share everything, or share nothing.
In a video review tool built around a shared folder, anything in that folder is fair game, so teams keep their messy versions somewhere else and upload a copy when it's ready. That's two places to keep in sync, and the client still ends up commenting on the one you didn't mean to send.
The usual setup, and Nugo.
| Topic | The usual setup | In Nugo |
|---|---|---|
| What the client sees | Whatever is in the shared folder or review, including half-finished versions. | Only locked pages. A draft never reaches the review link. |
| Keeping work private | A second, private copy of the project that you move files out of. | One project. Only locked pages reach the link. |
| After approval | The approved version is whichever file was newest on the day. | A locked page is frozen as a snapshot. What the client approved can't change under them. |
| Pulling it back | Delete or move the file and hope nobody downloaded it. | Unlock the page and it drops off the review link. |
Clients only ever see the pages you've locked, never the draft.

Work in Draft
The moodboard, script and shot list start as Draft. Your team sees them. The client's link doesn't.
- 02
Share only what's ready
When you make the review link, untick "Lock every page for this review" and lock just the pages the client should see.
- 03
Unlock to rework
A locked page can't be edited. Unlock it and it leaves the client's link while you work. Lock it again to put the new version up.
Straight answers.
No. A review link only shows pages that are locked, and it shows the snapshot saved when you locked them. Draft pages never appear on it.
Only if you leave "Lock every page for this review" ticked when you make the link. Untick it to share just the pages you've already locked.
Yes. Unlock the page and it drops off the review link while you change it. Lock it again when it's ready to go back.
Plan the next shoot in one place, not across ten apps.
New commercial projects open with Brief, Creative Direction, Moodboard, Shot List, and Client Review already in place.
