Nugo vs Milanote
Milanote is a flexible visual board for any creative project. Nugo is built for shoots: the moodboard turns into a shot list, the client approves the plan on a link, and the same list runs on your phone on set.

| Topic | Milanote | Nugo |
|---|---|---|
| Moodboard | A freeform board of notes, images, video, sketches and links, with a web clipper and a large template library. | A canvas of images, audio and video links, with notes, frames and drawing. Each reference is tagged by purpose, such as Shot, Lighting, Wardrobe, Location, Product or Talent. |
| Shot list | Shot list templates built from cards on a board. | A structured list: each shot is made from a reference, with its still, size, angle, movement, lens, FPS, talent and a status from Planned to Captured. |
| Client feedback | Share boards to edit, comment or view. | A review link with view, comment or approve, no account needed. Approvals record who, when and which version. |
| On set | Desktop and mobile apps. Its help centre says boards need a connection to view and edit (article dated June 2025). | Shoot Mode on your phone: shots by scene, one tap for Captured or Skipped. Projects you've opened work without signal. |
| Apps | Web, desktop and mobile apps. | Web, installable on a phone's home screen. |
Milanote's details are from its own website, checked on 14 October 2026. Plans change, so check its current pricing before you decide.
Choose Milanote when…

- You want the shot list on your phone on set, including with no signal.
What Nugo doesn't do
Nugo is narrower than Milanote. It's for planning shoots, so it has no general-purpose templates for writing or design, no web clipper, and no native desktop app.
